Melanie Fonesca of melaniesOriginals is facilitating a beading craft class.
All on the Florida Etsy Street Team have been invited to send items to put into thank you bags that Melanie will hand out at the end of the class. The bags could contain business cards and promos/samples. She did a class on the 5th and the ladies loved there gifts. This is short notice but the team just got put together this week so......but there is still time since we are all in the same state.

Where is it?
Osceola library
If anyone lives in the area of Poinciana they can go to the website event calender and sign up for the class, it's free. Class is July 28th and starts at 2pm.
They have asked me to return for the Oct/Nov/Dec crafting corner and I'm waiting on a response to my reply about maybe teaching simple polymer clay work.
Anyone can contact there library and ask if they have crafting class and if they can teach one (yes they pay) usually they ask you what you charge depending on the class you teach and the supplies you need to supply for it.
How many people are you expecting?
I requested only 10 sign ups for my classes, so only expecting 10 people
What would you live to be able to hand out to them?
When it comes to what I would like to hand out to them I thought it best whatever best represent the sellers shop/crafts along with there business card attached so they know how to get in touch with them and what website/shop to go to if they should want to see more and purchase. The baggies I've been putting together are thank you to the "customers" (as the library calls them) for signing up and participating in my class and I want to try to make Etsy a household name so we can get more traffic (buyers) to our shops since I know a lot have a hard time getting sales I thought maybe this is a way to help.
How do you want us to get it to you?
Here is my snail mail addy where they can ship/send to:
Melanie Fonseca
1904 Destiny Blvd Apt 104
Kissimmee, FL 34741
DEADLINE:
Any thing you would like to send should be sent out no later than July 23 I would say just to be safe with it getting here before July 28th
What are you going to be teaching? Is it a theme? Maybe we can offer a discount off in name of the theme or event?
I will be teaching them how to make "book jewelry" which is a beaded bookmark (you can see some of these in my sold items in my shop) I guess the theme is beading.
How long is the class for?
The class is scheduled for 1hr but my last class went for like a 1/2 more than that since some had a hard time with the seedbeads it took a little longer and others did there beading in a color pattern which also took longer since the seed beads are a mix of colors not seperated.

Please email Melanie (and me, so I can keep a tally of who said yes and we can monitor successes) directly to let her know if you will be participating.
Some notes:
When you hand out your business cards or marketing material, make sure to put a CODE somewhere on it. So if you can speak to them directly you can ask if they have a biz card. If they do have it, ask for the code on the back/bottom/etc and then keep a record of where you used that code. Code SHOW could have been at a craft show, CODE ORLSHOW could have been a show in Orlando. For instance, this could be CODE LIBGFTBG. OR Even better, just put the date 072807. Of course I would highly recommend that you keep the word CODE off :) They might think it is a discount code. You need something to signify where and when and then you can see where you got the better response at and what they are buying.
In the future I would like to create a brochure or zine of sorts that displays "ads" so that we can have something on file and it can be easily printed. Samples can always be sent, but for instances like this it is always good to have something on hand to GRAB-AND-GO.
Thanks guys!!
